American with Disabilities Facility Assessment

Our assessment process includes measurement of existing structures and systems, observations of patron interactions with your facility, and informal interviews of patrons. Our final report will include descriptions of trouble spots and suggestions for how to achieve compliance with federal and state ADA laws.

Catching problems before they happen saves time, money and heartache. We can read blueprints for new construction, renovations, landscapes and streetscapes to identify non-compliant structures and potential challenges for disabled and elderly patrons. We will provide a written report of trouble spots and suggestions for achieving legal compliance.

Compliance Audit/Inspection

An audit is a systematic, objective tool to assess regulatory compliance in the workplace. An audit usually involves a survey of the workplace to: Identify what regulations apply to a company or facility, determine whether transportation, environmental and workplace safety requirements, and corporate policies and procedures regarding compliance are being followed, assess management systems currently in place to ensure compliance. An audit may also look at and evaluate the methods used to achieve compliance.

Confined Space Assessment (Permit - Non-Permit)

We are able to conduct an assessment of your work place and advise which areas are confined spaces. In a comprehensive report we will identify hazards associated with work in the confined space, assess the risk associated with the hazard and provide detailed recommendations to control those risks.

Job Safety Analysis/Job Hazard Analysis

At our clients request we conduct A Job Safety Analysis (JSA)/Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) to identify, analyze and record  the steps involved in performing a specific job, document the existing or potential safety and health hazards associated with each step, and recommended action(s)/procedure(s) that will eliminate or reduce these hazards and the risk of a workplace injury or illness.

Personal Protective Equipment  Assessment/Inspection

We will ensure your program and selected PPE meets two basic objectives, protects the wearer from safety and health hazards and to prevent injury to the wearer from incorrect use and/or malfunction of the PPE. We will also complete a full inspection of all required PPE documentation and will conduct a recertification if needed on certain pieces of equipment.

UPDATE: On 15 Nov 2007 OSHA has issued its final rule on employer-paid personal protective equipment. Under the rule, all PPE, with few exceptions, will be provided at no cost to the employee.
