Fall Protection and Prevention Training

In this course we will discuss a number of concerns with fall protection that could apply to many situations. We will focus on the specific fall hazards at your company and how employees can protect themselves from those hazards. The course will focus on hazards associated with falls, rules for working safely at heights, different types of fall protection systems, and rescue after a fall.

Fall Protection - Construction

This course is for each employee who might be exposed to a fall hazard.  This training will enable these employees to recognize the hazard of falling and will cover the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.  Covered training areas are: nature of a fall, correct procedures for erecting, maintaining, disassembling, and inspecting fall protection system, use and operation of guardrail system, role of each employee in the safety monitoring system, limitations of fall protection equipment, correct procedures for storing fall protection equipment, knowledge of the  fall protection plan, and all applicable standards in Subpart M.

Fall Protection Competent Person

This course is a comprehensive look at fall protection in construction and general industry. It covers the employer's duties to provide the correct type of fall protection or fall arrest equipment for employees, the proper practices for the installation, and use of fall protection on the job.

Fire Extinguisher Safety & Employee Fire Prevention Training

This course covers details of OSHA's 1910 Subpart L basic precautions for preventing fires, protecting workers, the right equipment/protective wear for fighting fires, general requirements for automatic sprinkler systems and fixed fire extinguishing systems, and how to install/maintain fire detection and alarm systems.

First Aid - Pediatric with CPR & AED

This course focuses on injury prevention, and covers the latest emergency care techniques. It includes all the topics from our Standard First Aid, CPR and AED course, adapted to the special needs of infants and children. Forklift Operator Training - Initial

This course will assist employers in ensuring that each forklift operator is competent to operate a forklift safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the required training and evaluation.  Operators will receive both formal instruction (lecture, discussion, written materials, videos, etc.) and practical training (demonstrations and exercises).

Forklift Operator Training - Refresher

This course is designed for operators who require refresher training.  Refresher is to ensure operators have the knowledge and skills needed to operate a  forklift (PIT).   Refresher training shall be provided when an operator:

  • Has been observed to operate the vehicle in an unsafe manner;

  • Operator has been involved in an accident or near-miss incident;

  • Operator has received an evaluation that reveals that the operator is not operating the truck safely;

  • Operator is assigned to operate a different type of forklift (PIT); or

  • A condition in the workplace changes in a manner that could affect safe operation of the forklift (PIT).

An evaluation of each forklift (PIT) the operator's performance shall be conducted at least once every three years.

Prerequisite: ALL attendees must show proof of Initial Training or Refresher Training within the last three years.
