This course will enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways, select the appropriate ladder for the task, and will train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize hazards.  This course also includes the nature of fall hazards in the work area, the correct procedures for erecting, maintaining, and disassembling the fall protection systems to be used, the proper construction, use, placement, and care in handling of all stairways and ladders, the maximum intended load-carrying capacities of ladders, recognize when retraining shall be provided for each employee as necessary so that the employee maintains the understanding and knowledge acquired through compliance with this section, understand the standards contained in this subpart.

The information covered in this course includes the steps in the lockout/tagout and the affected employee's part in the procedure. Also, you'll be provided information on the locks and tags that are used at your company.

This training provides the proper procedures for lockout/tagout. The information covered in this course includes the preparation for shutdown, shutdown, isolation, lock and tag application, release of stored energy, verification of energy isolation, performance of work, and termination of lockout/tagout.
