Scaffolding Awareness Training

This course will help you and your employees meet OSHA’s scaffolding requirements, spot scaffolding violations, and reduce the potential for accidents.  The course also provides an overview of OSHA’s scaffolding standard and explains how to help avoid the possibility of scaffolding-related accidents. Topics include fall protection, safety awareness, performing visual inspections, protection from falling objects.

Scaffolding Competent Person Training

 This course will cover topics required for competent persons.  Topics include competent person requirements and responsibility, compatibility and components requirements, fall protection, hazards associated with scaffolds, access requirements, training requirements, construction requirements, proper selection and use.

Prerequisite:   Must have prior Scaffolding Training and/or experience

Scissor Lift Training - Initial

This training session covers information on the safe operation of powered platforms, inspection procedures, hazard recognition and prevention, emergency procedures, and the proper use of fall protection systems. All employees who operate working platforms will be trained in the following: recognition of, and preventive measures for, the safety hazards associated with their individual work tasks, general recognition and prevention of safety hazards associated with the use of working platforms, including the provisions in the section relating to the particular working platform to be operated, emergency action plan procedures, company work procedures, and personal fall arrest system inspection, care, use and system performance.

Scissor Lift Training - Refresher

This course is designed for operators who require refresher training.  Refresher is to ensure operators have the knowledge and skills needed to operate  scissor lift.   Refresher training shall be provided when an operator:

  •  Has been observed to operate the vehicle in an unsafe manner;
  •  Operator has been involved in an accident or near-miss incident;
  •  Operator has received an evaluation that reveals that the operator is not operating the truck safely;
  • Operator is assigned to drive a different type of truck;
  • A condition in the workplace changes in a manner that could affect safe operation of the truck.

 An evaluation of each scissor lift  the operator's performance shall be conducted at least once every three years.

Prerequisite: ALL attendees must show proof of Initial Training or Refresher Training within the last three years.  If proof can NOT be provided than Initial Training will be required.

Supervisor Safety Training

This course has been designed to integrate safety & health training within companies that have either traditional supervisors or newer team-based leadership positions. The program addresses safety & health issues from the perspective of people in these roles. This training course focuses on the identification and assessment of hazards, incident prevention, and the participant's role in the safety & program at their facility. Continuous emphasis is placed on how the knowledge and skills developed transfer to the participant's everyday work experiences.
